You might have left behind the moral comfort to be had from knowing you’re fighting Nazis, but now you get to play with all kinds of fancy modern doodads. Fighting as a U.S. Marine or a British SAS soldier, you’ll travel the world, dropping into troubled hotspots through a twisting and turning story to defend truth, justice and.well, whatever qualifies as the American way these days. You’ll fight with any of 70 new weapons and pieces of kit, including assault rifles with laser sites, claymore mines, .50 caliber sniper rifles, and M-249 SAW machine guns. Other fancy gadgets include night-vision goggles and ghillie suits for you to do your stealthy thing with. Naturally, it all comes with a dollop of next gen gloss, with the graphics overhauled and improved audio which includes realistic battle communications chatter. The multiplayer aspect builds on the experience provided in Call of Duty 2, with a create a class option allowing players to customise their gear, unlockables and perks coming out of experience points, and matchmaking and leaderboards.
