Dance Music is the new rock ‘n roll, DJ’s are the new superstars, and DJ Hero lets you join their ranks without leaving the comfort of your own living room. No early morning flights to Ibiza, no late nights looking for an open kebab shop in strange towns. DJ Hero introduces an entirely new and innovative way to experience and interact with music. From the people behind Guitar Hero, DJ Hero utilises a custom designed turntable controller to give you the power to segue, spin and scratch over 100 songs into unique mixes. The controller has three stream buttons, an effects dial, a crossfader, and a ‘Euphoria’ button. Euphoria is the equivalent of Guitar Hero’s Star Power – collect it by completing song sections, and release it with the Euphoria button to double your current multiplier. More than just a game, DJ Hero is designed to put the user in control of the music, and allow them to become the life and soul of the party for real. Jukebox mode enables the game to automatically play songs and players can jump in and mix it up at any time. DJ Hero is not just for dance music fans, the game features music from across a range of genres including hip-hop, electronica, R&B, Motown, pop, and rock. The tracks that you know and love, from artists such as Black Eyed Peas, 50 Cent, Justice, Marvin Gaye, Beastie Boys, N.E.R.D, Beck and Blondie are showcased on DJ Hero in new and exclusive mixes. Songs for the game were chosen and remixed by turntablist extraordinary DJ Shadow, and producer Paul Okenfield has already gone on record as saying he loves the game. Players aim to create unique mixes by scratching, beat-matching and cross-fading tracks and adding effects and samples in either single player career mode, or multi-player competitive or co-operative modes. Guitar Hero transported gamers into the world of rock ‘n’ roll… DJ Hero takes you into the hottest party venues styled after real world locations such as an ultra plush and sexy Hollywood Hills style mansion to open air beach clubs in Ibiza.
