FIFA 12 has been designed and implemented for the Wii – no ports here. This means that the Wii controllers – both standard and Nunchuk – are called into play to provide tight control over the over 30 officially licensed leagues, 500 teams, and more than 15,000 players in the latest edition of EA Sports soccer sim. FIFA 12 comes with two ways to play: Traditional 11 versus 11 games that use the current player and team lists from all the major leagues and international teams playing today. Then there is the 5 v 5 street matches that up the pace and hone the controller skills as the world’s biggest stars are modelled especially for this mode. Both modes enable gamers to win awards that go towards developing their own FIFA City. This enables gamers to unlock players and other rewards so that they can make their city’s dream club star-studded enough to take on neighbouring cities. When the on-pitch action gets tiring, the player can also choose Manager Mode in which they can set tactics and line-up, select, sign or even drop players in a bid for the top of the league. The transfer market can be as hard and competitive as the on-pitch game and skills aplenty must be learned and mastered in each of these arenas. There are also 100 other challenges to be competed in during each and every game mode. These will enable you to unlock players and powerups to improve player performance. Kits, even new buildings and infrastructure can also be unlocked. Gamers will also need to grow a passionate fan following if they hope to attract the right players to win the Intercity Cup.
