Also new in FIFA Soccer 2003 is the method of ball control, which is designed to result in realistic shots and passes, encouraging player precision.

The game features hundreds of teams from 16 different leagues — literally thousands of actual soccer players, all represented by their real-life statistics. Several modes of play offer both quick pick-up games and intense club championships.
