High School Musical has, let’s face it, exploded. In a good way, if you’re either Disney or part of the franchise’s legion of fans. Since the the first film reminded British kids why they all wish they live in America and have lockers, five games have poked their chirpy heads into the world, so High School Musical 3: Senior Year is in good company. As you might have guessed, the Wildcats are back and making their way through Senior year. The game follows the familiar rhythm based formula, providing what you really came for – all the music from the theatrical release of High School Musical 3: Senior Year. Expect your favourite characters to pop up, including the likes of Troy Bolton, Gabriella Montez, Sharpay Evans and Taylor McKessie. Disney hasn’t stopped there, however. Players will also be able to take quizzes to see which character they most resemble, then play through the game as that person. If you’re in the mood for a spot more quizzing, you can take things online to challenge friends to a Best Friends Forever test. To record the experience, you can take in-game photos of all the characters and arrange them in your very own High School Musical yearbook! If all that still ain’t enough, you can save yourself a few pounds on buying the official soundtrack, since even when the DS is closed you’ll be able to listen to the songs in Jukebox mode.
