Europe’s premiere rally racing championship is showcased in Electronic Arts’ Mobil 1 Rally Championship. Developed by the U.K.’s Magnetic Fields with help from Hot Gen, the game offers a realistic simulation of the Official British Rally Championship on a wild ride through the lush British countryside on over 400 miles of track. The game offers both on and off road segments, including English country roads and over 20 licensed cars to choose from. Highly detailed weather effects and realistic car damage (that effects you car’s performance) add to the immersive gameplay. Using actual footage, detailed maps and photographs, the development team set out to make the most realistic courses to date. Mobil 1 Rally Championship encompasses all 36 stages of the Official British Rally Championship. Rally fans will also have the freedom to drive off the track and race virtually anywhere they wish. The game features licensed, customizable cars such as the Volkswagen Golf A7, Nissan Almura and the Honda Civic. Each car is rendered as accurately was possible, with real-life physics, from accurate modeling of crashes to power sliding. If you repeatedly crash your car you will find it becoming deformed and its performance decreasing rapidly, ultimately totaling the car and forcing the you to drop out of the race. Mobil 1 Rally Championship’s detailed weather effects will challenge you as you must contend with sunlight at different times of the day (which can cause glare), hard driving rain and lightning (which can cause slick dangerous roads) and snow (which hampers visibility and performance). Windshield wipers will wipe off raindrops that streak across your windshield. Other effects include dirt and gravel spitting from your tires as you slide around corners, cars splashing through puddles and mud. In addition, the game offers fully animated drivers and co-pilots that can be seen outside the car. You can use several camera views as you race, including a detailed 3D-dashboard view, which can be maneuvered to show the entire cockpit. The game offers four modes of play including Time Trial, Arcade where the player races against three other artificial intelligent cars and Trophy, where it is a race against the clock for the championship. In multi-player mode two players can go bumper to bumper on a split-screen. Mobil 1 Rally Championship also supports Dual Shock controllers. Manufacturer’s description: Race across the British Isles with terrain, weather, and cars so real your have to wipe the mud off your monitor! Prepare to feel the rain, rays and radical turns of the Mobil 1 Rally Championship in the most realistic racing game ever created!
