The sequel to 2002’s Night of 100 Frights on PlayStation 2, Scooby-Doo: Mystery Mayhem has the paranormal-probing pooch and his mystery-loving friends on another case involving ghosts, monsters, and scheming humans. Players alternate control between Scooby and Shaggy to locate a powerful book called the Tome of Doom, which a wealthy businessman is using to summon a ghastly assortment of creatures. Like its predecessor, the game is played from a third-person viewpoint set behind either Scooby or Shaggy, who each offer different abilities. Objectives include ensnaring monsters, searching for clues, solving puzzles, and grabbing as many Scooby Snacks as possible along the way. Some of the environments players will explore include a movie set, bayou, abandoned laboratory, and even the Wild West. Once again many of the original Scooby-Doo cartoon’s voice actors provide the dialogue for their characters.
