We all want to be Sports Champions in our own right. Unfortunately for a lot of us, we will never be able to reach the Adonis-like figure necessary to look the part, or even take part, in such Herculean activities. Sony’s new peripheral, PlayStation Move, lets you skip the whole ‘training’ thing and get straight to what you want to do – being awesome at competitive events. A whole range of sports is available for you to play, all executed elegantly with the Move motion controller device: Disc Golf, Beach Volleyball, Archery, Table Tennis and Bocce among others. You can even compete in a Gladiator Duel if the mood takes you – swing that sword with strength and vigour! With the Move and PlayStation Eye combination, your movements are tracked exactly, making it even more immersive as you reach out to set an arrow in your bow, or tossing a disc into the goal with perfect exertion. If one controller isn’t enough, why not use the dual wield option to add another layer of depth to the gameplay – control the bow, add a shield in Gladiator, or use both hands in Volleyball. Champion Cup Mode offers a formidable challenge in single player, while Free Play gives you the leisure of competing with friends – Challenge Mode takes that leisurely atmosphere and turns it into a competitive one. And if you want even more competition, upload your scores and times to the leaderboard and show the world that you can be an Olympiad without a buff chest.
