Keeping fit is a difficult ask when you’re sat at home on the sofa watching the TV. And with so many adverts suggesting we all get more active, it’s a good thing the Wii’s motion detection has allowed it to offer a domestic fitness kit of its own. Avoid going to the gym due to laziness, and avoid laziness by being active in the home. Makes sense, right? The first EA SPORTS Active title, Personal Trainer, was another big title that allowed players to flex those muscles just a little bit more than usual. With leg straps and other peripherals connected to your body while you workout, the program has become quite popular for those looking beyond Wii Fit. EA SPORTS Active: More Workouts allows you to continue your training inside the home, with 35 new activities to get involved in and the ability to create unlimited combinations of customisable exercise routines. Each of the exercises here target the upper and lower body, and help improve cardio as well. Abdominal activities will be emphasised in contrast to the last game in the franchise, and you can expect to be helped out with curl ups, crunches and punches. When you’re bored of the setting, take a virtual holiday to the tropics and engage in some warm weather sports like waterskiing and paddle surfing. See if you can take the EA SPORTS Active challenge and improve your fitness during it’s Six-Week Challenge!
