Height is no object here: you don’t need to be a seven foot giant to sink the ball into the net and win the day – all you need is opposable thumbs and a good sense of timing to take on the all-American sport of basketball. This year EA has taken greater pains than ever to re-create the feel of being on the court. New moves have been added to help you own the paint. Put the ball in the over-sized mitts of your big men to make them perform brand new moves and counters, including pump fakes, drop steps and spins. If that sounds a bit broad to you, you might want to use individual players ‘go-to’ moves. Every great player has something to pull out of the bag when the game is on the line and it can all go Pete Tong. Now EA has re-created some of those moves for you to pull out when you need it most. A patented step back jumper? It’s there. A fadeaway with the big leg kick? Oh yes.
